Tryouts will be February 10th for all areas.  Tryout will take place in Ponte Vedra at either Landrum or Palmer. If your child is unable to attend the tryout but does want to be considered for a team, we will make arrangements.  New for this season.  For anyone that makes a Blue Heat Travel team, new uniforms, jersey and shorts, will be created for these teams.


For all tryouts, there will be a $15 tryout fee to be paid at registration for the tryout.  For all kids that attend the tryouts, they will be given a $15 coupon to use for registration of a travel team if they make a team.  If they do not make a team, the coupon code can be used for skills sessions or towards our summer basketball camps.  If you are unable to make to tryout date, as long as you are still placed on a team or make an alternate tryout, you will still be given the discount code.  In order to be placed on a travel team, you must be registered for the tryout.

Tournament Schedule

This schedule is for local tournaments only and mandatory for all local Blue Heat teams.  2 - 4  more tournaments will be added by the team coach for at total of 7-8 tournaments played for each travel team. Club teams will play 4-5 tournaments for their season.

March 28th - 30th  - Jax Slam
April 25th - 27th - Jax Madness
May 16th - 18th - Draining Buckets
June 6th - 8th Summertime Slam


Ponte Vedra/Nocatee Area Boys 3rd-10th, Girls 4th - 9th Travel Teams

These teams will be picked based on a tryout.  They will play a minimum of 6 local tournaments in Jacksonville.  Each team will have  1-2 practices a week. Also 2-3 skills sessions a month are included.  These teams will be coached by one of our professional coaches.  The season will run from March - June.  Practices will be held at Landrum or Palmer.

Based on the competitiveness of these teams(4th-10th), they may each play tournaments that require travel and overnight stays around Florida. This will be decided by each team individually. If a team chooses to play more than 7 tournaments, then any additional cost may be handled by the coach and team separately.

If we are unable to form a competitive team out of any location, players may be put on a team at the next closest location!!!

Up Front fees will consist of uniform(if needed), AAU/USSSA affiliation, insurance, league entry(if needed) and tournament entry fees per person.

Fees: Depending upon team $850 - $1080

Up Front Fee:  $295.00 -350.00 - Depends on what tournament the teams play in

Uniform Fee: $70 (New Uniforms for Everyone on Travel Teams)

Monthly fees will consist of coach's fees, skills sessions fee, practice facility fees, tournament entry fees and insurance.

Monthly Fee:  $250.00 (3 months)

Club Teams -  

For some younger teams, a club team will be formed with a lesser schedule.  Club teams will play 5 local tournaments April - Early June against other teams of the same skill level.  This will give these kids the opportunity to continue to receive professional coaching and experience competitive tournament repetitions against other local teams that are the same skill level.  Fees for these teams will be less than the travel teams and still include the weekly skill sessions.  These teams will practice once a week. 


Bolles/Clay/Southside Boys/Girls 4th-8th Travel Teams


These teams will be picked based on a tryout.  Teams will be open to any and all kids who want to tryout.  These teams will practice out of Bolles-San Jose or JJVA on southside.  4th-8th grade will play a minimum of 6 tournaments, mostly in Jacksonville.  Each team will have 1-2 practices  a week as well as a skill sessions. Extra practices may be added based on the coaches discretion.  These teams will be coached by one of our professional coaches.  The season will run from March - June.  Practices will be held at Bolles San Jose, Bolles Bartram Campus or JJVA.

Based on the competitiveness of these teams(4th-8th), they may each play tournaments that require travel and overnight stays around Florida. This will be decided by each team individually.
